In my opinion, the wood is one of the most beautiful materials that you can make a computer case. Of course, it is not as durable as aluminum or stainless steel and it has no protective qualities of polyurethane or silicone. But for pure beauty, warm colors and feel of natural wood simply can not be beat. Thats why I was immediately attracted by a new series of iPhone cases from the United Kingdom on the basis Mu Mu . Their new Slide iPhone case 2.0 are available for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4/4S at a very reasonable price of 35(about U.S. $56). Mu Mu uses sustainable hardwoods – maple and walnut – to make their case Slideshow 2.0. The whole affair is made of multi-laminate maple and walnut for a striped look, while the back retains the appearance of maple(the lighter colored wood) and walnut. The rough-cut wood is shaped by CNC milling, then deburred and sanded by hand until perfect. A light wood oil is applied to protect the wood from moisture and bring out the natural grain of the wood. Mu Mu Slideshow 2.0 cases for iPhone Inside the case you will find six small clear stamps adherent material that are used to hold the iPhone comfortably inside a case Slideshow 2.0. Business is conducted in two parts for easy installation. The upper part of the case is the largest part, and has cutouts in the appropriate places for the camera and flash, headphone jack, volume and mute switches and power button / sleep. The top edge of the chamfer case handles on the front edge of the iPhone. Once the upper section of the housing is installed, the bottom slides out to close the case. Note that although the iPhone 5 case has a Slideshow port lightning, iPhone 4/4S has no opening for the 30-pin dock connector. Slideshow The iPhone 4/4S case 2.0 I installed on my device seems to have a slightly curved back panel, so that the upper half of the case continued to bubble out of the chamfered edge of the iPhone on one side or the other. The case was still together – its just a bit of looking around to one side. Team Mu Mu told me that it was the case of pre-production, so Im assuming that was the problem and this problem will be solved in the product shipment. I still have no iPhone 5 so I have not been able to verify this matter, but the curve on the back panel – which probably keeps the iPhone firmly locked in the case – was less pronounced than the iPhone 4 / 4S. The cases are incredibly light. The iPhone 5 Slide case weighs only 32 grams 2.0, although there is no weight specified for the iPhone 4 case, I guess that would be a little lighter . The cases are currently in pre-order and will be available from October 29. The company does ship to other parts of the world too, with delivery in the United States currently has about $10-12, although they look the cheaper shipping options.
